Fly Tying Wire
Wire serves as ribbing on dries and nymphs, as weight underneath chenille bodies, and as the lateral line on baitfish patterns. A copper or red metallic rib on a Pheasant Tail nymph protects the fragile herl body and adds the segmentation that suggests a mayfly. Lead-free wire under a streamer body adds ballast without bulk.
Our wire selection includes lead-free spools in multiple diameters and ultra wire in copper, red, gold, and metallic colors. For ribbing classic Catskill nymphs, segmenting midges, or weighting streamers, the right wire makes a quiet but important difference.
