We offer a variety of courses to help brush up on some skills or learn about the sport before you make a commitment to gear and time.

Casting Instruction
We offer a full one hour casting course or tailored instruction. This is geared towards people that want an basic introductory class to accelerate the learning curve or some tips to help improve a competent fly caster. We can accommodate up to four people.

Introduction to Fly Fishing
This course includes the same parameters as Casting Instruction with additional emphasis on some of the more practical and teachable aspects of the sport. We can customize this course upon request. We can accommodate up to four additional people, it is a two hour course.

Guided Instruction
This is a variation of our standard guided fishing trips. These are a half day (4 hours) trip where the first half is our Introduction to Fly Fishing Course that is followed by time on the water learning a few new techniques with some fly fishing.

Rental Equipment
ROD/REEL/LINE RENTAL
We primarily rent Orvis Clearwater 9' 5 weight rods, we have a few 8'6" 5 weight as well. All come with Orvis Battenkill Reels.

WADER RENTAL
With the largest wader rental inventory in the region we have a lot of sizing options. We rent Orvis Bootfoot waders so the boots and waders come attached.

Rental Policies
They are rented by the day, if picked up before 10:00 AM they will need to be returned that evening. After 10:00 AM they will need to be returned before 10:00 AM the following day. We have the ability to arrange early pick up and late night drop off. All rentals are first come first service. The only exception is if you have a large group, please call ahead and we can make prepaid, no cancelation option, arrangements.
