The shell fabric is constructed of Supplex®, an extremely lightweight yet tough nylon that is water and sun resistant, fast drying, and, best of all, will not mildew if stored damp. Set your rod butt in the loop that hangs from the lower right of vest and strap the rod itself into the chest loop and your hands are now completely free to tie flies or provide better balance as you cross strong water.
