Beaverkill Angler Catskill Guide & Instruction Services

The Beaverkill Angler has a staff that likes to stay active on the water, but many days we just have to stay in the shop. That's where our experienced and professional group of Catskill guides come in. We offer quality float and wading trips on the Upper Delaware River system, in addition to our walk and wade trips on the Beaverkill River and Willowemoc Creek. Full (eight hours) and half day (hour hours) trips are available. Contact us with any questions or to book your trip and reserve a guide today.

Walk/Wade Trips:

Half Day - $295 for two people, third person add $50

Full Day - $425 for two people, third person add $75

Both rates include rods & reels. Flies are not included in base price. Waders are available to purchase or rent. Full Day Trips include lunch.

Float Trips:

Full Day - $495 for up to two people

Half Day - $395 for up to two people (seasonal, subject to availability)

Cost includes basic gear rods & reels. Flies are not included in base price. Waders are available to purchase or rent. Full day trip includes lunch and beverages.

All of our trips are catch and release only and we only use fly fishing gear for trout. Spinning gear is an option for our summer smallmouth bass trips on the Main Stem of the Delaware.


Casting Instruction - $75 per hour for one person. $25 each additional person up to four people

This is mainly geared towards beginners or anglers struggling with basic casting techniques. If you would like a more advanced casting lesson it can be arranged with notice. All necessary equipment included.

Introduction to Fly Fishing - $125 for one person. $35 each additional person up to four people

This is a two hour course that is designed for beginning fly anglers. It will cover gear, rigging leaders and flies, fly selection, what you do and don't need to get started and a healthy dose of casting instruction. All necessary equipment included

Equipment Rental:

Wader Rental - $35 Per Day

Rod/Reel Rental - $35 Per Day

Our rental equipment is Orvis and modern available on a first come basis unless you choose to prepay. Rental equipment rented before 10:00 AM needs to be returned by the end of the day and if rented after 10:00 AM they need to be returned before 10:00 AM the following day. This is to allows for an angler to use the equipment during peak fishing times, we have the ability to arrange pick up and drop off before and after regular shop hours.

We do not sell fishing licenses at the shop and recommend you purchase them in advance. You can do so at the NYDEC Website or anyplace that sells licenses. There are two locations in Roscoe that also issue them.

Cancellation Policy: a 50% deposit is required when booking a guided fishing trip or instruction. Should you need to cancel your reservation, this deposit will be refunded as long as we receive a minimum of 2 weeks notice prior to the trip. If we receive a week's notice on a cancellation, then the deposit can be applied to a later trip in the same calendar year. There is typically no refund on cancellations with less than a week's notice.

Dennis Cluck

Dennis Cluck Jr. has been fishing the Catskills for over twenty years. Whether you want to fish the Beaverkill, Willowemoc, West Branch of the Delaware, or explore some of the smaller tributaries for native brook trout, Dennis' high school teaching and coaching background makes him an excellent guide for both experienced and beginning anglers.

Oleh Czmola

Oleh Czmola honed his fishing skills growing up in western New York. Over the past twenty years the Catskills have become his back yard. From the Beaverkill to the Schoharie his enthusiasm is contagious. His passion for teaching from the simplest to complex help to create a memorable experience. When not guiding or fishing Oleh is often found hiking and cycling in the area.

Dennis Cluck

Stephen Spencer moved to Oregon and experienced some of its greatest treasures in fishing. Red banded trout on the Deschutes River, small mouth bass on the John Day, salmon and steelhead from the Puget Sound down through the Cascade Mountain range. Since 2015 he has been focused on fishing in the Catskills and floating the Delaware River System. His varied live experiences gives him perspective and the right attitude to guide our rivers with new or experienced anglers.

Evan Lavery

Evan Lavery in addition to owning the Beaverkill Angler, also guides. And if he's not in the shop you may be able to book him for a walk/wade trip on one of our local rivers.
