Beulah Platinum Switch Rods
The recent Switch Fly Rod movement has taken the fly fishing industry by storm. As the first company to successfully market a full line of Switch Fly Rods, it is with great pride that Beulah presents their Platinum Switch rods. Beulah has five years of Switch rod production under their belt with literally thousands of hours logged fishing and spent talking with shop owners, guides and customers about Switch fly rods.
While creating Platinum Switch rods, their goals were simple: design a Switch rod series dialed into specific fishing situations, create rods that are extremely light in hand with crisp, fast recovering actions, and do it with the attention to detail and terrific value that Beulah is known for.
The Beulah Platinum Switch rods are constructed using the same all carbon scrim materials and techniques as seen in their Platinum Spey rods. A blend of high modulus graphite helps tailor the action while at the same time retaining the crisp recovery people have come to love in the Platinum series. This construction allows them to create rods with either a traditional, regressed flex pattern, or a progressive, fast action rod without losing sensitivity through out the blank. The result is a smooth, responsive rod that snaps back with a crisp recovery regardless of the rods flex pattern.
Each Beulah Platinum Switch rod has been uniquely designed to match its specific fishing application. As the Platinum Switch rods step up in size from 10’5wt, 10’4” 6wt, to a 10’8” 7wt, the action migrates down the blank with each size jump. Starting with our 10’ 5wt Switch rod with its progressive crisp action towards the tip and ending with a regressed traditional action flexing in the lower third of the rod on the 10'8" 7wt.
