Part of our goal at the Beaverkill Angler is to provide useful and entertaining fly fishing instruction, classes, and schools for our customers to improve their knowledge and techniques. Be sure to check back as we schedule more events.

2017 EVENTS:

Saturday, October 7th through Sunday, October 8th - TROUTOBERFEST 2017!

Join us this fall for out 6th annual TROUTOBERFEST weekend! We are putting together a great roster of fly tyers, presenters, classes and more. This is a great chance to get on the river one last time before the cold weather sets in, and talk trout with some very interesting people in the sport.

Sunday, October 8th - GEORGE DANIEL STREAMER CLASS

If you've read his book "Strip Set" then you know George takes his streamer fishing just as seriously as his nymphing. Here is your chance to learn how to fish streamers more effectively from one of the best fly anglers in the country through our on the water half day class! There are only 4 spots though, so be sure to sign up soon.

Sunday, October 8th - GEORGE DANIEL NYMPHING CLASS

George Daniel will be joining us for a half day nymphing class which includes on the water instruction. This is a great opportunity to step up your nymphing game and make your days on the river more productive. To maximize the experience, this class is limited to only 4 people so be sure to sign up ASAP!

Beginning Sunday, April 15 2017 - Orvis Fly Fishing 101 Classes

Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 pm

We will once again be offering FREE Orvis Fly Fishing 101 Classes at the Beaverkill Angler. Classes are held every Saturday and Sunday at 2:00pm. Call ahead to reserve your spot!

Saturday, May 27th & Sunday, May 28th - Memorial Day Weekend with Orvis

Tom Zemianek will be with us for Memorial Day Weekend to teach our Orvis Fly Fishing 101 Class and show off some new gear from Orvis as well as to answer any questions you may have! Be sure to stop by the shop and see him
