In 2012 the Beaverkill Angler will once again be offering FREE Orvis Fly Fishing 101 classes!
The response was so good last year that we have decided to offer the Orvis Fly Fishing 101 classes again this summer.
This is a great introduction for people who want to get into the sport, or for those beginners who are just looking for a little more insight and instruction.
Orvis Fly Fishing 101 classes are typically an hour long, and some of the topics we cover include:
-Entomology
-Fly Selection
-Basic Gear
-Basic Knots
-Casting
-Basic Fly Fishing Techniques
These classes are FREE to attend but size will be limited each day to maximize the experience for everybody participating, so be sure to call ahead to reserve your spot!
We will be offering the Orvis Fly Fishing 101 classes on the following days:
Saturday, May 26th at 9:00 AM
Saturday, June 16th at 1:00 PM
Sunday, June 17th at 1:00 PM
Every Saturday and Sunday in July at 1:00 PM
Every Saturday and Sunday in August at 1:00 PM
