our philosophy
We at the Beaverkill Angler don't claim to be experts...in fact we're a little wary of people who do! When you walk through our doors we won't be telling you how you have to do something, but we will be there as a source of information and regional knowledge. We see every trip to the river as a chance to learn something new, and when you think you know it all that's when you risk becoming stagnant.
The Beaverkill Angler is a pro-active fly shop. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran of the sport, we do our best to provide you with the products, instruction, and services you are looking for, and continue to change and grow to better serve you.
It is important to our staff that we stay active on the water. We're not just fly shop workers, we're fly-fishermen. In fact, most of our fishing reports are based upon our own personal experiences. We also pick the brains of our experienced guides and wide-eyed customers to give you the most "on the water" information we can gather. So when you read our reports you know they're not just something pulled off of the internet and pasted on our page. We're not just reporting on the river conditions, we're also reporting on the fishing conditions to give you as much information as we can, and that slight edge the next time you put on your waders.
